In February 2006, Lexmark announced the release of the E120 monochrome printer based on a never before seen print engine. Targeted at small- to medium-sized businesses, a key advantage of the E120 was its quick printing speed of 20 pages per minute (ppm) and first-page-out speed of 8 seconds.
The E120 printer ships with a 500-page yield starter cartridge Replacement toner cartridges require a chip and have a yield of 2,000 pages. The separate drum unit has a yield of 25,000 pages.
